If you remember the heyday of action films, then you’ll be as excited for the release of The Expendables 2 today as much as I am.  I doubt anyone but Sylvester Stallone could have assembled all the action greats from the 80’s including Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Dolph Lungren, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I remember watching the first one squealing with glee seeing all my childhood favorites on the screen together. I remember leaving the theater thinking that a) I hope there is a sequel and b) if only it could have “this guy” and “that guy” in it.  Well prayers to the movie gods were granted.

As my team is reading this, I can hear them scoffing and grunting at my love for old school, cheesy action films.  They’re probably just too “artsy” to enjoy the simplicity of this classic entertainment. I have faith in my Digital Den readers and know they will enjoy a good romp “where one man can make a difference.”

Creative collaborations such as this always make me want to go on a marathon run. Similar to what I did before Marvel’s The Avengers released earlier this summer, I’m thinking that these are the perfect movies to help you stroll down action-packed, explosive, super-charged memory lane.

Sly’s Slickest:
First Blood
Tango & Cash

Bruce’s Best:
Die Hard
Last Man Standing
Hudson Hawk

Chuck’s Chops:
Invasion U.S.A.
The Octagon
Missing in Action

Van Damme’s Van Damage:
Hard Target

Arnold’s Awesome Action:
The Running Man

Given that the GoFlex Satellite can hold up to 300 HD quality movies and stream up to 3 devices simultaneously, throwing all these on your device for on-the-go action shouldn’t be a problem. And these don’t even include films from the other The Expendables stars.  Perfect for that last minute getaway for Labor Day weekend.

The summer season of movies is quickly coming to a close. But with a device like your Satellite, you can take all the best the summer had to offer and take it with you into the fall.
